I love my throw pillow from CB2 so I decided to make curtains using the wonderful pattern from my pillow. I plan on making two aqua colored curtains and one gray one.

I drew the pattern first. I'll use this to sew the pattern onto the curtain fabric.

I used felt to make this pattern.

I hand sewed the design onto the fabric. This took quite sometime. I started Friday evening and finished on Saturday. I still have two more curtains to go!

In May I bought fabric from Ikea. I finally decided to put the fabric on stretchers and hang it! I love the bright fun colors. The wall still looks like I can add more to it so I’m thinking about paint on the adjacent wall.

I bought fresh flowers to liven up the place!

I bought the yellow salt and pepper shakers in Liberdade, a Japanese neighborhood in Sao Paulo. They are simple and compact. I like the modern look.

I’m not a fan of carpet but all of the apartments feature carpet. I am very excited about the lighting as it will highlight the art hanging.

Remember the lamp??! I made the lampshade and I think it looks great in the study room.

I had so much fun taking care of Mini twin for a week!! I picked her up from Twin 2’s house and brought her with me to Ohio! I taught her Portuguese and Math! It was such a blast! We also made art. We always made art in the morning, spoke a little Portuguese then worked on math. The afternoon was filled with trips to the zoo, park, and tea together. I hope to make this a yearly tradition!

We had so much fun together!

I went to San Francisco and while there I took some great photos of graffiti! I decided to do an art project with one of the photos. I had a photo enlarged at Walgreens. I bought a frame from Ikea and wow what an easy art project!

I thought Saturday would be a great day to add some simple decor items to the kitchen and dining area. I ordered this contemporary poster from Etsy. Jan Skacelik is the designer. I love the colors!

I bought two plates from Crate and Barrel to update our table decor. I love the bright fun colors!
