I love my throw pillow from CB2 so I decided to make curtains using the wonderful pattern from my pillow. I plan on making two aqua colored curtains and one gray one.

CB2 pillow

I drew the pattern first. I'll use this to sew the pattern onto the curtain fabric.

I used felt to make this pattern.

I hand sewed the design onto the fabric. This took quite sometime. I started Friday evening and finished on Saturday. I still have two more curtains to go!

The finished curtain!!! I really like it. Aqua and orange go well together!

Chalk Wall

To Do List

I love my chalk wall! It adds a nice aesthetic and I use it to make my To Do Lists– something that is essential with two kids! It is also great for my four year old to practice writing and of course she loves drawing on it too.

Here is Mini Twin drinking a green monster, one of her favorite drinks! She thinks it is a tasty little smoothie, though it is packed with healthy spinach, banana, and almond milk- Yummy!

Twin 1 is doing research in Rio de Janeiro and staying at a friend’s place. I can see Jesus Cristo de Redentor from the apartment. There are great clothing stores, restaurants, and cafes in this area. I’m staying in Copacabana and am enjoying morning jogs along the beach!

This is a small eating area that is a shared space with the study and living area. I decided to spruce it up a little.

I bought a little flower at a grocery store (Pao de Acucar) across the street , a chair seat, and a dishrag from a home and kitchen store. My additions are simple but add some cheer to the place!

We moved to New Albany. The neighborhood is nice and there are plenty of trails for running. Of course the most exciting part of the move was decorating!

The new place is smaller than the last place but it’s cozy!

This is the eating area. I’ll post pictures of the kitchen later. I love the lamp from Ikea!Image

I’m not a fan of carpet but all of the apartments feature carpet. I am very excited about the lighting as it will highlight the art hanging.

As soon as you walk in on the left is a small study area. I’m not finished decorating-this is just a sneak peak!

Remember the lamp??! I made the lampshade and I think it looks great in the study room.

On a recent trip to San Francisco I bought a few items at CB2. I look forward to hanging my man/woman wall vases!

The next time I pick up donuts from Krispy Kreme I’ll use these cute little plates!

These goodies arrived last week!!!! Twin #2 introduced me to Fab.com. I love their discount prices!!!

I ordered a cupcake apron for myself and my niece! I also ordered a cupcake potholder! I will do the big reveal of these items when we make cupcakes-How appropriate right?! 😉

When we moved from Baltimore, MD to Dublin, OH my lapshade was ruined in the process. It was made of a very thin material. I decided to give it a remake rather than throw away the lamp.

I bought some fabric and first ironed it.

I iron stitched the sides together. I love iron stitching!

Yaaah! This was such a fun and easy project!
