I bought this yellow bowl at Target.

I love these bright colored knives I bought from Fab.com

I love my throw pillow from CB2 so I decided to make curtains using the wonderful pattern from my pillow. I plan on making two aqua colored curtains and one gray one.

I drew the pattern first. I'll use this to sew the pattern onto the curtain fabric.

I used felt to make this pattern.

I hand sewed the design onto the fabric. This took quite sometime. I started Friday evening and finished on Saturday. I still have two more curtains to go!

The finished curtain!!! I really like it. Aqua and orange go well together!

Chalk Wall

To Do List

I love my chalk wall! It adds a nice aesthetic and I use it to make my To Do Lists– something that is essential with two kids! It is also great for my four year old to practice writing and of course she loves drawing on it too.

Here is Mini Twin drinking a green monster, one of her favorite drinks! She thinks it is a tasty little smoothie, though it is packed with healthy spinach, banana, and almond milk- Yummy!

I bought these containers at The Container Store and  I love that they’re clear. It makes grabbing what I need much easier.

I bought the storage containers behind my quinoa at Ikea.

Last but not least….laptop storage! I just love this bag. Sometimes I leave it around just because it brightens any room!

Yummy Vegan food

I discovered Angela’s blog OhSheGlows (http://ohsheglows.com/) and it is a wonderful resource for vegan recipes! I’ll share two dishes I’ve cooked using her recipes. Of course I’ve used many of them.

Roasted Butternut Squash Almond Pecan Parmesan

I cut the kale into small pieces.

I sprinkled the kale on the cubed butternut squash and put it in the oven. Salt, pepper, olive oil and minced garlic were all sprinkled on the kale and butternut squash.

I added the pecans and put this back in the oven and it was done! Total oven time is about 50 minutes. This dish was delicious!

I won’t bore you with the details. Here’s a slice of the delicious lentil walnut apple loaf I made. I substituted some of the ingredients. I used almond meal instead of oat flour and I added oats instead of breadcrumbs. This meal was delicious! Thanks to OhSheGlows! Check out her website!

Macaron Decorating!

I love French macarons although I have not eaten them in a while since I’m vegan. I decided to decorate with photos of macarons. This will have to do until I actually find a pastry shop with vegan macarons!

This was such an easy decorating project that added color to the kitchen!

I found Emily’s Butternut Squash and Black Bean Chili in Pumpkin Bowls on Oh She Glows at http://ohsheglows.com/2010/10/07/butternut-squash-and-black-bean-chili-in-pumpkin-bowls/

The Chili made of black beans, onions, red pepper, garlic, and butternut squash.

Pumpkin bowls!!!

I just love the blue and pink office entrance!
